Happy Endings and other Unbelievable Fairytales....
The story begins
As often it does
With no time for feelings;
And no room for love.
The pages turn quickly
As if written by fate.
Yet your walls remain strong
And so guarded the gate.
Then the moment of weakness
Arrives quite by surprise
For your emotions run deeply
As you gaze in his eyes.
Then with utmost sincerity
As his web he does weave
He proclaims his intentions
As though not to deceive
You scream one breathless whisper
As though not by mistake
"If this is a dream,
I hope never to wake."
His reply? As once written of tales long ago,
"Dreams do come true."
But that's really not so.
So....for each new beginning
Also an ending shall be.
But that one happy ending,
I'll write especially for me.
